COLLEGE LECTURER TEACHING APPOINTMENTS. A. College Lecturer teaching appointments are full-time appointments made by the Xxxx, with the approval of the Xxxxxxx. Subject to provisions below, these appointments may be renewed indefinitely by the Xxxx, with the approval of the Xxxxxxx. Neither the initial appointment, nor any renewals thereof, however, leads to or grants tenure. B. A Lecturer is one whose academic responsibilities are oriented towards teaching and service rather than research, scholarship, or creative activity. The ranks of Lecturer faculty shall be Assistant College Lecturer, Associate College Lecturer, and Senior College Lecturer. For purposes of this article, the term “Lecturer” (without a modifier) is used collectively to refer to all three categories.
