Common use of Community Based Projects Clause in Contracts

Community Based Projects. (i) The Union will be notified in writing of projects funded by the City to be carried out by community organizations, educational institutes or governments, which enhance the environment, quality of life or municipal property. (ii) In the event the Union considers the project would result in layoffs of bargaining unit employees the matter may be referred to the grievance procedure pursuant to this Collective Agreement.
