Constructability Review. Prepare detailed interdisciplinary constructability review within Fourteen (14) days of receipt of the plans from the District that:
10.1.2.1.6.1 Ensures construction documents are well coordinated and reviewed for errors;
10.1.2.1.6.2 Identifies to the extent known, construction deficiencies and areas of concern;
10.1.2.1.6.3 Back-checks design drawings for inclusion of modifications; and
10.1.2.1.6.4 Provides the District with written confirmation that:
10.1.2.1.6.4.1 Requirements noted in the design documents prepared for the Project are consistent with and conform to the District's Project requirements and design standards.
10.1.2.1.6.4.2 Various components have been coordinated and are consistent with each other so as to minimize conflicts within or between components of the design documents.
Constructability Review. The District and/or its designee shall conduct a construction review of the Construction Documents. A report shall be given to the Architect who shall make necessary changes along with providing written comments for each item listed in the report.
Constructability Review. The Engineer shall provide Independent Quality Review of the constructability PS&E sets.
Constructability Review. If indicated in the Task Order for an Assigned Project, at the intervals noted in the Task Order, the CM shall conduct Constructability Reviews of the Design Documents to ascertain whether the Assigned Project, as depicted in the Design Documents:
(i) accurately and completely reflect the District’s use/occupancy and Project Budget objectives for the Assigned Project; and (ii) the Design Documents for the Assigned Project are free of errors, omissions, conflicts, or other deficiencies that are patently observable so that the Contractor(s) can construct the Assigned Project as depicted in the Design Documents without delays, disruptions or additional costs resulting from errors, omissions, conflicts or other deficiencies in the Design Documents (“Constructability Reviews”). It is recognized that the CM’s Constructability Reviews are made in its capacity as a construction manager and not as a licensed design professional. The foregoing notwithstanding, the CM’s capacity as a construction manager shall not limit, condition modify or other impair/reduce the CM’s obligations relating to Constructability Reviews as set forth in this Agreement. The scope of the CM’s Constructability Reviews shall include: (i) confirmation that the various components of Design Documents prepared by the Architect and its Design Consultants have been coordinated and are consistent with each other so as to eliminate conflicts within or between components of the Design Documents; (ii) confirmation that there are no errors, omissions or other deficiencies in the Design Documents except for compliance with code requirements, design or engineering calculations, specified dimensions, and the sufficiency of the Architect’s design of building systems including but not limited to roofing, building skin, mechanical, electrical, data, fire alarm and security to perform as intended. The CM’s Constructability Reviews do not supersede the responsibility of the Architect to provide correct and coordinated Design Documents for the Assigned Project. The CM shall submit written Constructability Review comments (“Constructability Comments”) to the District Representative for review and consideration by the District. The District shall have the sole and exclusive discretion to accept some, all or none of the CM’s Constructability Comments. If the District accepts any of the CM’s Constructability Comments, the CM shall review the Design Documents modified by the Architect for confirmation that the Distr...
Constructability Review. District and/or its designee, at its sole discretion, shall have the right to conduct a constructability review of the Construction Documents. A report shall be given to Architect who shall make necessary changes along with providing written comments for each item listed in the report. Conducting a constructability review does not excuse Architect’s obligation to provide Services that shall comply with professional architectural standards, including the standard of care applicable to architects designing public school facilities and applicable requirements of federal, state, and local law.
Constructability Review. Contractor shall provide a constructability review of the Plans and Specifications prior to issuing documents for subcontractor bids.
Constructability Review. The Engineer shall provide Independent Quality Review of the constructability PS&E sets. CONTRACT MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION The ENGINEER shall:
Constructability Review. Contractor shall provide at least 2 constructability reviews of the Plans and Specifications before or at each of the following intervals of preconstruction: (i) one upon the completion of design development; and (ii) one immediately prior to the submittal of the Plans and Specifications to DSA. Contractor shall review the Plans and Specifications and related construction documents for errors and omissions, clarity, consistency, and coordination. Contractor’s review shall emphasize ensuring that the Project can be completed within the Owner’s available budget to the level of quality and educational goals desired, and can be completed within the established schedule. Contractor shall specifically provide recommendations on construction feasibility, energy conservation, availability of materials and labor, time requirements for installation and construction, and factors related to cost, including costs of alternative designs of materials, preliminary budgets, and possible economies of scale. Contractor shall provide written reports, identifying by page and detail the issues to be discussed and resolved. As part of the constructability review, Contractor shall identify areas where value engineering principles could be applied (including potential cost savings and the schedule impact of such savings), and identify items requiring a long lead time before construction. Contractor shall assist the District in considering operating or maintenance costs with respect to selecting systems and products for the Project.
Constructability Review. Prepare detailed interdisciplinary constructability review within thirty (30) days of receipt of the plans from the District that:
(1) Ensures construction documents are well coordinated and reviewed for errors;
(2) Identifies to the extent known, construction deficiencies and areas of concern;
(3) Back-checks design drawings for inclusion of modifications;
(4) Provides the District with written confirmation that:
(a) Requirements noted in the design documents prepared for the Project are consistent with and conform to the District’s Project requirements and design standards.
(b) Various components have been coordinated and are consistent with each other so as to minimize conflicts within or between components of the design documents.
Constructability Review. The CMA is responsible for expeditiously conducting the constructability review. The required primary elements of the CMA's constructability review are: ▪ Drawings are complete and coordinated among disciplines. ▪ Materials, processes, equipment, and labor are available, non-proprietary, and appropriate according to best industry practice and LEED requirements. ▪ Defects, conflicts, overlaps, ambiguities, or lack of clarity in documents are identified for correction. ▪ Planning for use of the Site accommodates access, logistics, phasing, and storage. ▪ Existing conditions are shown correctly and adequately. ▪ Protection of historic features to be preserved is adequate. ▪ Incorporation of new systems preserves without damage designated historic fabric and features. ▪ Requirements of APS design requirements. ▪ All required construction work is included in the Contract Documents. ▪ Construction details are workable. ▪ General Conditions Items are properly addressed.
