Common use of Community Language Allowance Clause in Contracts

Community Language Allowance. (1) An employee who possesses a level of language skills or qualifications mentioned in this clause is entitled to be paid community language allowance (CLA) at the appropriate rate set out in the table at the end of this clause if the Secretary determines there is an identifiable and continuing need to provide client or staff services in a language other than English.
