Common use of COMPENSATION DURING SELF-IMPROVEMENT LEAVE Clause in Contracts

COMPENSATION DURING SELF-IMPROVEMENT LEAVE. A teacher who is on an approved self-improvement leave of absence shall be paid 50% of his/her relevant base salary. The teacher will be paid on the same pay schedule as all ten-month employees. The teacher will receive health insurance on the same terms as all otherwise eligible unit members. However, the teacher shall not be eligible for other employee benefits, including payment of sick days or disability leave.
