Competitive Dropping of Trailers. The Employer will not drop a trailer to be loaded or unloaded unless the customer has been determined by the Company and the Local Union to be a competitive drop. Trailers dropped for less than twen- ty-four (24) hours during a layoff must be covered by bargaining unit employees, except in cases of customers serviced by nonunion carriers.
