Compliance with Employment Insurance Act. Notwithstanding Article 12.4.1 and 12.4.2, the terms of this plan will be construed so that it complies with Regulation 37(2) of the E.I. Act. The employees have no vested right to payments under the plan except to payments during a period of unemployment specified in the plan. (Reference: 37(2)(h) E.I. Regulations). Payments in respect of guaranteed annual remuneration or in respect of deferred remuneration or severance pay benefits are not reduced or increased by payments received under the plan.
