Actions in the PROSAFE project all work to promote the acceptance of Safe by Design at all levels of the nano-material value chain and product value chains containing nanomaterials as well as the respective production processes. Four main themes can be defined (Figure 2). Figure 2: the four themes supported by PROSAFE which are promoting Safe by Design The four themes shown in Figure 2 are: 1 - Robust nano-safety data support activities Increasing the access to robust nano-safety data by streamlining the data acquisition and provide OHTs (OECD Harmonized Templates) and ISA-TAB-nano templates. Facilitating the exchange of data by streamlining data generation, acquisition and data management. PROSAFE will implement a data platform approach. This will contain a mapping system between the relevant DBs, develop parsers for different applications and establish a content management based on providing OHTs for different applications (knowledge of endpoints) and ISA-TAB-nano templates. This exchange of data with NANoREG and other initiatives can ultimately improve safety levels along value chains. The main driver for this process is the facilitation by PROSAFE to absorb and help generate novel data will be produced by new associated partners of NANoREG either from the currently absent EU Member States and interested International States.
