Conferences and Seminars. (a) Subject to the Employer's approval and where practical, employees may be permitted to attend conferences and seminars of a specialized nature in their respective fields at employer expense. Upon return from such conferences or seminars, the employee may be required to submit a report to the Employer and/or to provide some in-service training. (b) An employee who attends a conference, convention, seminar or staff meeting at the request of the Employer, shall be deemed to be on duty and, as required, on travel status.
