CONFORMITY TO LAW - SAVINGS CLAUSE. If any Agreement provision or any application thereof is held to be contrary to law, such provision or application will not be deemed valid or enforceable, except to the extent permitted by law, but all other provisions or applications will continue in full force and effect. If a determination is made that part of this Agreement is in violation of law, the District and the Association will meet not later than twenty (20) workdays following such determination for the purpose of negotiating a satisfactory substitute for the invalidated Agreement portion. 904 STRIKES OR LOCKOUTS The Association agrees that during the life of this Agreement its representatives or its bargaining unit members will not cause, permit, authorize, instigate, aid or engage in any work stoppage, slowdown, sickout, refusal to work, picketing, or strike against the District. The District agrees that during the life of this Agreement, there will be no lockout. Any violation of this section by the Association or the District is not subject to the grievance procedure, and either party may pursue legal remedies as provided by law. In the event of a strike or job action by any other bargaining unit, members of this bargaining unit shall not be required to perform work normally assigned to striking employees.
