Conservation Objectives. The following conservation objectives will be implemented to reach the goals of the CAS stated above, and are targeted to specific goals as indicated parenthetically below. Included with the objective is a statement on how the objective will benefit the Toiyabe spotted frog and a standard to determine if the objective was successful at achieving the goal. The conservation actions and commitments by the Cooperators as described in the CAS will be implemented as proposed in the Strategy.

Conservation Objectives. The Conservation Objectives of the Tarium Niryutait MPA are: • To conserve and protect beluga whales and the supporting ecosystem within the Tarium Niryutait Marine Protected Area; • To support the goals of the Beaufort Sea Beluga Management Plan and the Inuvialuit Final Agreement: o to maintain a thriving population of beluga whales and beluga habitat in the Beaufort Sea; and o to provide for optimum sustainable harvest of beluga whales by the Inuvialuit within the MPA.
