-Construction/Installation. A. Construction and installation shall begin no sooner than SBBC certification, and City verification, that SBBC has raised sufficient funds equal to the Project Costs. If any Project Costs are incurred and paid by SBBC such costs shall be included in the calculation of the total of the funds raised.
B. Prior to installation, SBBC shall provide the following to City:
(i) an updated estimate of Project Costs, including but not limited to documentation of any expenditures as of that date, the outstanding balance owed the Design Professional(s) and Sculptor, and a signed contract with the Contractor, in form reasonably satisfactory to the City’s Director of Parks and Recreation (the “Director”);
(ii) documentation reasonably satisfactory to the Director that sufficient funds are available to pay all Project Costs and complete installation of the Statute Sculpture; and
(iii) documentation reasonably satisfactory to the Director and the City Attorney transferring title to the Statute Sculpture to the City of Manhattan Beach upon completion of the installation, including a release from the Sculptor of all rights, title to, and interest in the Statute Sculpture, including but not limited to all rights under California Civil Code Section 982 et seq, the federal Visual Artists Rights Act, and the California Art Preservation Act.
C. SBBC shall cause the Contractor to commence and diligently complete construction upon the occurrence of the following:
(i) certification by the Director that the documentation required by paragraph B has been received and is satisfactory;
(ii) approval by the City Building Department of construction drawings and issuance of a building permit; and
(iii) SBBC obtaining all required approvals from the State of California, County of Los Angeles, and California Coastal Commission.
-Construction/Installation. Currently waiting on final design approval. Anticipated construction window is July 19, 2021 through September 15, 2021, instream work. Note: shaded areas on materials are for informational purposes only. Materials will be provided. This bid is for construction/installation. Installation Requirements: Construction shall include the various types of Large Wood Structures as shown on the Plans and approved by the Engineer or designee. Vertical Logs: Installation of Vertical Logs shall include on-site movement and installation of logs to designated locations shown in the Plans. Vertical logs shall be per the quantities as shown on the Plans. Specific Locations shall be determined in the field as approved by the engineer or designee. The required embedment depth shall be as shown on the Plans. Installed Vertical Snags shall also have the following field-set characteristics: Vertical Snags shall be installed at various angles and varying heights above ground. At each pile installation site, a minimum of one pile shall be tested for pullout resistance. Each test will require up to four individual pull, each at a deeper depth. See details in Plans. The contractor shall provide the tensiometer and associated hardware. The test of vertical snags shall be driven and tested prior to placement of logs as shown on the Plans. Vibratory pile driver shall meet or exceed the capabilities of these commercially available side grip drivers; HMC Movax Sonic Side Grip SP 80, Grizzly MultiGrip MG-90, Movax SG-75, RaMeC SGV 80, or equal with Engineer’s approval. The side grip mechanism shall be capable of clamping and holding a 16-inch diameter log. Installation by hammer pile driver, or vibratory plate compacter shall not be allowed. Contractor shall assist Engineer or designee with pull out testing of vertical snags as shown on the Plans and shall be an incidental item to large wood structure installation. If vibratory installation of test vertical snags is successful, installation of the remaining vertical snags shall be completed following installation surface Large Woody Materials. 1.01 Mobilization & Demobilization 1 LS $19,000 $19,000
-Construction/Installation. The Borrower shall diligently proceed to complete the Improvements within the Construction Period, employing sufficient workmen and supplying sufficient materials for that purpose. The Borrower shall substantially complete, or cause the completion of, the Improvements with any sewers, laterals, water and all other public utility connections, grading, paving, curbing and all other improvements, as may be required, ready for occupancy, within the Construction Period. If the Plans and Specifications do not fully provide for the completed Improvements or do not fully provide for all labor and materials necessary to provide such completed Improvements by the end of the Construction Period, or should the Plans and Specifications be inadequate in any respect, the Companies shall provide without delay all labor, materials, and whatever else is necessary to fully complete the Improvements.
-Construction/Installation. The MUNICIPALITY shall enter into and administer the contract for the installation of all equipment and perform such other work as required on the project in accordance with the approved project plans, the NCDOT “Standard Specifications for Roads and Structures”, January 2018, “Roadway Standard Drawings”,January 2018 and any addendum,all local codes and ordinances, and the procedures set out herein below shall be followed:
