Contact Negotiations: Time Off. The Employer recognizes the right of the Association to designate employees to participate in contract negotiations, and therefore agrees to give time off with no loss of pay if the proposed negotiating meeting is scheduled when anyone of the designated employees is on duty. Notice of planned attendance by such employees shall be given to the Sheriff or his designee at least three (3) days before a scheduled meeting, provided that the PBA was aware or should have been aware of such meeting in time to give such notice. Where the PBA was not aware of such meeting in time for a three (3) day notice, notice shall be given as soon as possible. No more than four employees off at any one time.

  • Negotiations Leave The Employer agrees to allow two (2) employees either elected or appointed by the Union time off to attend to negotiations for the renewal of this Collective Agreement, providing the employees are not from the same work location, and where operational requirements permit. Employees on such leave will be paid by the Employer as if they had worked. The Employer will then bill the Union for all lost wages and the Union will remit payment promptly.
