Contract Negotiations Meetings Where operational requirements permit, the Employer will grant leave without pay to an employee for the purpose of attending contract negotiations meetings on behalf of the Institute.
JURY SERVICE AND WITNESS LEAVE 17.1 Employees called on for jury service or who are subpoenaed, or as a witness for the Crown, the employer, or in the course of their employment, are required to serve. Where the need is urgent, the employer may apply for postponement because of particular work needs, but this may be done only in exceptional circumstances.
LEAVE FOR PROVINCIAL CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS 1. The employer shall grant a leave of absence without pay to an employee designated by the BCTF for the purpose of preparing for, participating in or conducting negotiations as a member of the provincial bargaining team of the BCTF.
Negotiations Leave The Employer agrees to allow two (2) employees either elected or appointed by the Union time off to attend to negotiations for the renewal of this Collective Agreement, providing the employees are not from the same work location, and where operational requirements permit. Employees on such leave will be paid by the Employer as if they had worked. The Employer will then bill the Union for all lost wages and the Union will remit payment promptly.
Preparatory Contract Negotiations Meetings Where operational requirements permit, the Employer will grant leave without pay to an employee to attend preparatory contract negotiations meetings.
