Contents of Personnel Files. A. Information in an employee’s official personnel file shall refer only to matters concerning or affecting the employee’s job or his/her University employment. B. Where the President or designee, the courts, an arbitrator, or other statutory authority determines that a document has been placed in an employee’s personnel file in error, or is otherwise invalid, such document will be removed from the official personnel file and duplicate personnel files. C. Records of disciplinary action and University commendations and awards presented to an employee shall, where practicable, be placed in an employee’s personnel file within sixty (60) days after the effective date of the action.
