Employee Health and Safety. A. When the University requires an employee to use or wear health or safety equipment, such equipment will be provided by the University.
B. Any employee who becomes aware of a work related accident shall immediately notify the supervisor or the supervisor’s designee of the area where the incident occurred.
C. When an employee believes an unsafe or unhealthy working condition exists in the work unit, the employee shall immediately report the condition to the supervisor or the supervisor’s designee. The University shall investigate the report and respond to the employee.

B. Employees shall perform their duties in a safe manner and shall comply with the university’s safety guidelines/procedures. Any employee becoming aware of a work-related accident shall immediately notify the supervisor or the supervisor’s designee of the area where the incident occurred.
C. When an employee believes an unsafe or unhealthy working condition exists in the work area, the employee shall immediately report the condition to the employee’s supervisor. An employee may also report the condition to a university administrator at the next highest level or the university’s Director of Environmental Health and Safety. The university shall investigate the report, and will respond to the employee in a timely manner. Where the employee’s report was in writing, the response shall be in writing. An employee acting in good faith may refuse to accept an assignment when the employee has reasonable grounds to believe an unsafe or unhealthy working condition exists in the work area which poses an immediate threat to the employee’s physical being.
D. The university will endeavor to keep its equipment in reasonable operating condition.
Employee Health and Safety. When a closure or curtailment announcement is made by the Employer, the Agency will make an effort to protect the health and safety of the employee including, when possible, arranging overnight lodging at the work site.

Employee Health and Safety. The health and safety of all employees is of vital importance to the school district. The Board will seek to provide safe working conditions for all employees, and will give prompt consideration to those conditions that my present a threat to the health and safety of employees. Any time an employee has a concern about unhealthy, unsafe or hazardous working conditions, he/she should report it to his/her principal or immediate supervisor, who will evaluate the concern and determine a course of action. Asbestos Workers (and to other employees documented as having been exposed to asbestos) wishing to obtain annual chest screening should inform their primary care physician (PC)) of their exposure. The PCP should then prescribe a “preventative” evaluation. Should the employee incur any expenses, all receipts should be submitted to the district for reimbursement.
