Continuing Consecutive Annual Contracts. Full-Time Annual Contract and Pro-Rata academic employees on continuing consecutive annual contracts, moving to a probationary faculty appointment contract on the Full-Time Salary Schedule, or returning to a Part-Time assignment, shall suffer no loss in salary level between consecutive year’s contract periods or placement in the new appointment.

A continuing contract is a contract which shall remain in effect until the teacher resigns, elects to retire, or until it is terminated or suspended; and shall be granted only to teachers qualified, as described below, holding Professional, Permanent or Life Certificates or a Professional Educator License. The certificates must be in the field being taught. Holders of a Professional Educator License must also meet either of the following:

  • Continuing Contract 10.3.3.1 The second contract for a regular faculty member is the continuing contract for continuing employment. A continuing contract will not be offered to any faculty member who is not deemed to have a Master's degree or equivalent in accordance with the agreed criteria. Those faculty members having a continuing appointment as of August 1975 will not be affected by this clause.
