CONTRACT WORK HOURS AND SAFETY STANDARDS ACT – OVERTIME COMPENSATION. This Contract, to the extent that it is of a character specified in the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act (40 U.S.C. §§ 3701-3708 ), is subject to the following provisions and to all other applicable provisions and exceptions of such Act and the regulations of the U.S. Secretary of Labor contained in 29 C.F.R. Part 5 thereunder.

CONTRACT WORK HOURS AND SAFETY STANDARDS ACT – OVERTIME COMPENSATION. (a) Overtime Requirements. No contractor or subcontractor contracting for any part of the Contract work which may require or involve the employment of laborers or mechanics shall require or permit any such laborer or mechanic in any workweek in which he or she is employed on such work to work in excess of forty (40) hours in such workweek unless such laborer or mechanic receives compensation at a rate not less than one and one-half (1-1/2) times the basic rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours in such workweek.
CONTRACT WORK HOURS AND SAFETY STANDARDS ACT – OVERTIME COMPENSATION. (Applicable to contracts in excess of $2,000 for work performed in the United States, any U.S. territory, or the District of Columbia.)   • Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act The following clauses apply to any Federal-aid construction contract in an amount in excess of $100,000 and subject to the overtime provisions of the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act. These clauses shall be inserted in addition to the clauses required by 29 CFR 5.5(a) or 29 CFR 4.6. As used in this paragraph, the terms laborers and mechanics include watchmen and guards.

  • Safety Standards Performance of the Contract for all commodities or contractual services must comply with requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Act and other applicable State of Florida and federal requirements.
