The Coordinated Bargaining clause establishes a framework for multiple parties, typically unions or employers, to negotiate collectively on shared issues or terms. In practice, this clause allows different groups to align their bargaining strategies, synchronize negotiation timelines, and present unified proposals or responses during contract discussions. Its core function is to streamline negotiations, reduce duplication of efforts, and strengthen the bargaining position of the parties involved by fostering collaboration and consistency across related negotiations.
COORDINATED BARGAINING. The parties agree that coordinated bargaining shall take place between the County and SEIU’s Local 721 Bargaining Policy Committee. Such bargaining shall include general salary movement, employee benefits, term and common language provisions. Common language provisions shall be included in the individual unit MOUs. Individual unit tables will continue to bargain economic matters including special pay practices, bonuses, recruitment and retention adjustments, step increases, differentials, and other compensation unique to their MOU’s. Individual unit tables will also continue to bargain operational issues such as transfers, caseloads, training and other matters which are unique to their MOU’s The parties agree that the Fringe Benefits MOU will continue to be bargained between the County and SEIU’s Local 721 Bargaining Policy Committee.
COORDINATED BARGAINING. ‌ All the unions shall, upon timely notification by WSF, negotiate certain issues with WSF on a coordinated bargaining approach. Coordinated bargaining shall be conducted on WSF policies that will apply to all bargaining unit employees generally on the same basis or policies that would apply to employees in one (1) location where multiple bargaining units are involved such as vessel employees or Eagle Harbor employees.
