Common use of Counselor and Librarian Rights and Responsibilities Clause in Contracts

Counselor and Librarian Rights and Responsibilities. A counselor's primary responsibility is to provide assistance to the student in program planning and guidance, matters concerning personal and social adjustment, and to assist the student in educational and career planning. The counselor is also responsible for providing assistance to the student in any other matter which is relevant to the student's welfare. Counselors will work cooperatively with other college staff members through individual and group efforts on matters pertaining to student welfare and effective instruction. Librarians shall comply with such of the duties of instructors as may be appropriate to their assignment and such other duties as may be assigned by the appropriate Division Xxxx. Counselors and librarians shall familiarize themselves and act in accordance with the pertinent sections of the Education Code, Administrative Code, and Policy and Procedures Manual.
