Reassigned Time. Each faculty member who coaches students for intercollegiate forensics competition shall receive at least two (2) credits reassignment time for each semester, in which he/she fulfills such responsibility.
Reassigned Time. Each faculty member having responsibility for production of a play and/or directing three (3) or more students in a performing arts production shall receive appropriate reassignment time for each semester, in which the faculty member fulfills such a responsibility.
Reassigned Time. Reassigned time shall mean an alternative assignment other than classroom teaching for one or more credit hours during the academic year or summer. For those faculty whose primary assignments are non-classroom instruction, e.g., coaches, librarians and counselors, reassigned time shall mean an alternative assignment other than their principal assignment to fulfill the professional development criteria of Article 22.
Reassigned Time. 10.6.1 Departments shall receive load credit for administrative responsibilities under the following formula: (Full-time equivalent (FTE) department members shall be determined by adding the number of active full-time members of the department on the date specified in Article 12.
Reassigned Time a. Reassigned time, leaves without salary, and additional purchased time shall be granted in accordance with terms agreed upon by the University and the Union.
b. Employees granted reassigned time and/or leaves without salary as described above shall not be considered representatives of their respective University for any activities on behalf of employees or the Union. The Union shall indemnify and hold the Board, its agents and employees harmless against any damages due to a violation of this clause.
Reassigned Time. 11.1 Any unit member or group may request reassigned time not covered in 3.1.7 and 3.1.8 of this contract, from the designated representative of the District. The District may also initiate reassigned time without a request from a unit member or group.
11.2 A unit member or group requesting reassigned time in excess of the full-time load must document the performance of the minimum 40 hours, which includes required tasks as detailed in Article 18.7 of this contract.
11.3 When a unit member or group requests reassigned time, the District may provide the reassigned time:
11.3.1 If the unit member or group verifies and documents s/he has actively participated for the last two years in campus committees, functioned as a club advisor, or has been active in the Faculty Senate or the Executive Council of the UFO, and
11.3.2 If the unit member can document that s/he is fulfilling his/her thirty-hour-a-week, on-campus, work assignment according to the District's Policy/ Regulation Manual Section 3.2, and
11.3.3 If the unit member or group has complied with the provisions of Section 11.2 above.
11.4 Any unit member receiving reassigned time will not obtain an overload greater than one s/he has had within the past two (2) semesters. A unit member with reassigned time normally should not have a load greater than 120%.
11.5 Any reassigned time that the District granted that continues in effect for two or more years shall normally remain stable unless the District can provide a rationale for change.
11.6 Coaching and production assignments are considered a part of the unit member’s regular load and are not considered reassigned time.
Reassigned Time. (a) District shall grant reassigned time to Full-Time Instructors assigned to duties during the applicable semester as follows: Forensics Coach Band Director (Marching and - 40% Symphonic) - 16-2/3% Chorale Director - 16-2/3% Assistant Forensics Coach - 40% In addition to the reassigned time, the Forensics Coach will be paid a full-time stipend, as set forth in Xxxxxxxx X-0, at the conclusion of the Coach's coaching duties for the academic year.
(b) The District shall grant reassigned time to Full-Time Instructors assigned to duties during the semester of the production to which the Instructor is assigned. Dance Production Director Play Production 16-2/3% Director 16-2/3% Technical Director 16-2/3% Musical Theater Production Director 33-1/3% Technical Director 33-1/3% Choir Director 16-2/3% Music Director/Conductor 40%
(c) Assigned time may be granted by the District for Special Assignments in conformity with Appendix B.
(d) The District may employ Part-Time Directors, Assistant Directors, Conductors, and Choreographers, in which event the District will compensate any such employee at the part- time stipend, set forth in Xxxxxxxx X-0, for each week that the employee is assigned to perform such services. Partial weeks shall be compensated on a pro rata basis. Any such employee designated as the Instructor of record will also be compensated as provided by Section 9 of this Article.
Reassigned Time. 1. Where faculty members are given reassigned time within the instructional workload for any activity other than teaching, the number of hours required for the activity will be equal to twice the credit hour reduction with the proportional reduction in office hours of one hour per three credit hour equivalent. The President of the College or the President’s designee may upon mutual agreement assign a faculty member non-instructional activities such as course, program or curriculum development, professional development activities or administrative duties; provided that the faculty member is qualified to perform such activities in lieu of a proportional number of instructional hours.
2. A department chair/curriculum coordinator (program and work area/discipline) shall be granted an adjustment in instructional workload, provided that the adjustment shall not exceed eighty (80) percent nor be less than twenty
Reassigned Time. 6.1 Reassigned time for the handling of grievances and implementation of this Agreement shall be granted:
(a) to designees of PSC to a maximum aggregate for all campuses (including the Central Office) of 123 classroom contact hours for each semester. 120 hours shall be apportioned amongst the various colleges of The City University of New York with a minimum of 3 hours to be apportioned to each college.
(b) to an officer of the PSC, full time.
6.2 Any designee under 6.1(a), who is a non-teaching member of the Instructional Staff, may be granted a maximum of one day reassigned time each week from August 30 until the day after the Spring commencement of the academic year. The reassigned time granted to such designee(s) of the PSC during the Spring semester may be continued during the period from the day subsequent to the Spring commencement of the college through August 29 up to a maximum aggregate for all colleges (including the Central Office) of two days of reassigned time each week without further charge. Reassigned time for additional designees during the period from the day subsequent to the Spring commencement until August 29 may be purchased by the PSC in accordance with Section 6.5 below. For purposes of this article, a day of reassigned time shall be the equivalent of six classroom contact hours.
6.3 The names of such PSC designees shall be supplied in writing to the President of each college, with a copy to the Vice Chancellor for Faculty and Staff Relations, no later than prior to the Spring commencement preceding the beginning of the fall semester and no later than two months preceding the beginning of the spring semester for which such reassigned time is sought. No member of the Instructional Staff who is not a full-time employee in this unit may be eligible for such reassigned time.
6.4 Such reassigned time may not be used to solicit PSC membership.
6.5 Consistent with the proper staffing of college and university programs and services, the University will permit the PSC to purchase reassigned time for additional designees. Such reassigned time shall be purchased at the adjunct rate appropriate to the designee. The amount of reassigned time under this paragraph shall be subject to agreement between the parties.
Reassigned Time. Upon approval by the Chair, Xxxx, Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs, and upon the College’s prior notification of such approval to the Association President, an ACF may be offered reassigned time in order to support the fulfillment of the College’s objectives. Reassigned time is a voluntary agreement, and the ACF has the right to request the assistance and participation of a CSEA representative in the process of discussing reassigned time and the duties involved.
