Court Appearance Pay. a. Court appearance time for court or administrative hearings commences with the earliest time that the employee is compelled to report for that day. Court appearance time includes time for court preparation and conferences on the same day as the court appearance(s). b. Employees appearing on a regularly scheduled day off for court or administrative hearings where the City or Department is a party shall receive a minimum of three (3) hours of court appearance pay at his/her regular rate of pay at the appropriate straight-time or overtime rate for each day involving one or more court appearances.
