Lodge Security. All eligible employees covered by this Memorandum of Understanding (a) who are employed after July 1, 1984 and elect not to join or remain members of the Lodge or (b) who were employed prior to July 1, 1984 and had previously executed membership or dues authorization cards as members of said Xxxxx, but hereinafter elect to terminate such membership and/or revoke said dues authorization cards, shall, as a condition of continued employment, pay a service fee to the Lodge in an amount not to exceed the then current Lodge dues in order to defray the costs incurred by the Lodge in the negotiation, administration and implementation of the terms of the Memorandum, and all modifications and amendments thereto, including related proceedings before an impasse panel or arbitrators, in the processing of grievances, and in any and all other proceedings and matters for which the Lodge is the employees' exclusive representative as a result of its certification.

The parties further agree that an Officer who successfully completes his or her probationary period after having been placed on I.O.D. shall be entitled to the benefits under the contract on the same basis as police Officers who were in that Officer's class who did not have his or her probationary period extended. Lodge Security. All eligible employees covered by this Agreement who are (a) employed after July 1, 2004 and elect not to join or remain members of the FOP or (b) who were employed prior to July 1, 2004 and had previously executed membership or dues authorization cards as members of said FOP, but hereafter elect to terminate such membership and/or revoke said dues authorization cards, shall, as a condition of continued employment, pay a service fee to the FOP, during the period that said FOP retains its certification, in an amount not to exceed seventy-five (75%) of the then current FOP dues in order to defray the costs incurred by the FOP in the negotiation, administration and implementation of the terms of the Agreement, and all modifications and amendments thereto, including related proceedings before an Impasse or Arbitration Panel or arbitration in the processing of grievances; in the conduct of disciplinary proceedings and in the appeal thereof; in the protection and improvement of civil service rights; and in any and all other proceedings and matters for which the FOP is the employees’ exclusive representative as a result of its certification. The service fee provision as outlined herein shall apply if the FOP demonstrates that ten (10%) percent or more of the total employees eligible to be included within an appropriate unit decline to authorize dues deductions imposed by said FOP. The FOP shall indemnify and save the Employer harmless of any and all claims, grievances, actions, suits or other forms of liability or damages that arise out of or by reason of the collection and disposition of the funds deducted under this Article as soon as they have been remitted by the Employer to the FOP.
Lodge Security. A. Pursuant to Section 4117.09(B)(2) of the Ohio Revised Code, the City agrees to deduct Lodge membership dues, initiation fees, and assessments, in the amount certified by the Lodge to the City. The deductions will be made the first pay period of each month from the pay of any Lodge bargaining unit member, upon presentation to the appropriate payroll clerk of a written payroll deduction form signed by the member authorizing the deduction by the Lodge member. The City shall transmit such dues deduction to the Lodge Financial Secretary on a monthly basis. The City shall be relieved from making individual dues deduction payments to the Lodge when a member: (1) resigns or is separated from City employment; (2) is laid off from City employment; (3) provides written revocation of dues deduction authorization to both the City and the Lodge; (4) is on an unpaid leave of absence when the dues deduction would otherwise be due, or (5) at any time when dues are otherwise due, fails to receive sufficient wages to make all legally required deductions in addition to the deduction of Lodge dues, provided that the member's dues shall thereafter be deducted in the first available pay period in which the member has sufficient wages to make the dues deduction in addition to all legally required deductions.
Lodge Security. The County shall not discriminate against any employee because of his/her membership in the Lodge. As a condition of continued employment, all employees in the bargaining unit shall either become and remain members in good standing of the Lodge or pay a representation fee to the Lodge which shall be less than one hundred percent (100%) of the regular monthly dues paid by Lodge members and which sum accurately represents the amount due the Lodge as said employee's fair share of the costs attributable to negotiating and enforcing terms of this Agreement. The representation fee shall not include, by way of example, but not by way of limitation, State, national, or other dues and assessments or other amounts for Lodge activities. The requirements set forth above shall become effective thirty (30) days after the effective date of this Agreement or thirty (30) days after an employee's date of employment, whichever is later. However, when an employee is in a probationary period, the Lodge may only represent said employee for hours and rates of pay and applicable fringe benefits during said probationary period. Lodge dues or representation fees for bargaining unit members shall be that designated by the Lodge Board of Directors in accordance with the Lodge Constitution and By-Laws.
Lodge Security. Section 3.1
Lodge Security. As a condition of continued employment, all employees in the bargaining unit shall either become and remain members in good standing of the Lodge or pay a representation fee to. the Lodge, which shall be less than one hundred percent (100%) of the regular monthly dues paid by Lodge members and which sum shall accurately represent the amount for said employees due the Lodge as their fair share of costs attributable to the Lodge as their share of costs attributable to negotiating the terms of this Agreement, which sum shall not include, by way of example, but not by way of limitation, State, National or other dues and assessments or other amounts for Lodge activities. At the time of execution of this Agreement, the regular monthly Lodge dues are $22.50 (Jan. 86), and the representation fee is $20.50 (Jan. 86); however, the Lodge, pursuant to its Constitution and By-Laws, may raise the dues accordingly. Lodge Security. Section 1. Membership in the Lodge is not compulsory. Members have the right to join or not join and neither the Lodge nor Metro Government shall exert pressure or unlawfully discriminate against a Member regarding such matters. Members in the bargaining unit who do not join the Lodge, however, shall be required to pay their fair share of the cost of representation by the Lodge, the amount of which shall be determined as set forth in Metro Louisville Code of Ordinance Section 35.056.
Lodge Security. Section 1. Membership in the Lodge shall not be a condition of employment. Members have the right to join or not join the union. Pursuant to KRS 67A.6902(3), the Lodge shall represent all Members without discrimination regardless of union membership.
