Creation of Lock Shops. The Employer may create Mechanic job assignments for the Body Shop, Unit Repair Shop, and Farebox Shop (hereinafter the “Lock Shops”). The Employer maintains the right to determine the number of Mechanics assigned to the Lock Shops and the scheduled work hours, days off, and work locations of those assignments. Mechanics who select a Lock Shop shall be compelled to remain in the Lock Shop (locked in) for two years. There shall be no restrictions on assignment locations for Farebox Mechanics. Farebox Mechanics may be assigned to any garage.
