Common use of Credit for Outside Teaching Experience Clause in Contracts

Credit for Outside Teaching Experience. Newly employed teachers of the Mt. Pleasant Public Schools and all others who qualify may be given up to ten (10) years credit for their experience in other K-12 school systems. This provision shall not be construed to require the District to grant full credit in other school systems up to the ten (10) year maximum. By way of illustration, the Superintendent may authorize placement at step 5 for a newly employed teacher with ten (10) years of experience in other K-12 school systems.
