Creditable Units Sample Clauses
The 'Creditable Units' clause defines which units, such as credits, certificates, or allowances, can be counted toward fulfilling a party's obligations under an agreement. It typically specifies the types of units that are recognized, any relevant standards or registries, and the conditions under which these units are considered valid for crediting purposes. For example, in an emissions reduction contract, only units verified by a particular registry or meeting certain criteria may be creditable. This clause ensures clarity and consistency in how obligations are met, preventing disputes over what qualifies as a valid unit and thereby reducing the risk of non-compliance.
