Common use of Credits/Contact Hour Workload Calculations Clause in Contracts

Credits/Contact Hour Workload Calculations. Lecture courses shall be credited on the basis of one (1) credit for each one (1) lecture hour [1:1]. Unless specified otherwise in this Agreement, laboratory courses, such as but not limited to, art studios, clinicals, and science labs shall be credited on the basis of one (1) credit for each two (2) laboratory hours [1:2]. With the exception of science laboratory courses, the ratio for laboratory courses may differ if approved through the AASC process.
