Culturally competent service delivery. Aboriginal and Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Islander people have different cultural, cognitive, communication and learning preferences to non-Indigenous Australians. These preferences need to be understood and catered for when designing programs and services to meet their needs. Taking into account the preferences and needs of Aboriginal and Xxxxxx Strait Islander people will increase the effectiveness of programs and improve Indigenous engagement and participation. Culturally competent services focus on:  providing services that are responsive to, and respectful of, the history, traditions and cultural values of Aboriginal and Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Islander peoples;  engaging and empowering Aboriginal and Xxxxxx Strait Islander people who use Government services, and the broader Aboriginal and Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Islander community in the design and delivery of programs and services;  building governments‟ and service delivery organisations‟ capacity to develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols that recognise Aboriginal and Xxxxxx Strait Islander people‟s culture, needs and aspirations;  developing the skills, knowledge and competencies, particularly independence and empowerment of Aboriginal and Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Islander people, communities and organisations; and  providing adequate information to Aboriginal and Xxxxxx Strait Islander people regarding available programs and services.

Culturally competent service delivery. The Subrecipient must develop and facilitate cross-partner/program training and other professional development opportunities for One-Stop Center staff in close coordination with partner organizations. The Subrecipient will organize regular staff meetings with all collocated partners regardless of program to build relationships, provide updates on center activities, and discuss strategies for improving the One-Stop Center services and functioning. To support cross-training and collaboration effectiveness, the Subrecipient will develop a capacity building and/or professional development plan for staff and partners annually. Lastly, the Subrecipient shall ensure all staff receive training on the services of the collocated One-Stop partners, eligibility criteria for those partners, and the (cross) referral process with partners.

  • Routing for Operator Services and Directory Assistance Traffic For a Verizon Telecommunications Service dial tone line purchased by Ygnition for resale pursuant to the Resale Attachment, upon request by Ygnition, Verizon will establish an arrangement that will permit Ygnition to route the Ygnition Customer’s calls for operator and directory assistance services to a provider of operator and directory assistance services selected by Ygnition. Verizon will provide this routing arrangement in accordance with, but only to the extent required by, Applicable Law. Verizon will provide this routing arrangement pursuant to an appropriate written request submitted by Ygnition and a mutually agreed-upon schedule. This routing arrangement will be implemented at Ygnition's expense, with charges determined on an individual case basis. In addition to charges for initially establishing the routing arrangement, Ygnition will be responsible for ongoing monthly and/or usage charges for the routing arrangement. Ygnition shall arrange, at its own expense, the trunking and other facilities required to transport traffic to Ygnition’s selected provider of operator and directory assistance services.
