CWELCC WORKFORCE COMPENSATION FUNDING. This funding is focused on supporting the recruitment and retention of Ontario’s child care workforce by providing improved compensation for low wage earners through the implementation of a wage floor and an annual wage increase for eligible Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) staff. In addition, workforce compensation funding will be provided to Licensees to offset wage increases for non-RECE staff associated with the increased minimum wage that came into effect January 1, 2022.
