DAR endorsement. This is undertaken by the Cairns Chamber of Commerce as the DAR. You cannot proceed to Stage 2 unless you have DAR endorsement. To seek endorsement, complete the Request for Endorsement form referred to in Part 2 of this document, and submit it to the DAR. Endorsement involves paying an endorsement fee. Fully-documented and well-presented endorsement requests are generally finalised by the DAR within five working days. Poorly prepared or incomplete endorsement requests may take longer. A DAR endorsement letter is valid for one year, and for one or more occupations and positions. Any associated request to the Department of Home Affairs to access a Labour Agreement under the FNQ DAMA must be submitted within the validity of the DAR endorsement letter.
DAR endorsement. The employer requests endorsement from the Designated Area Representative . This process involves submitting a DAR Endorsement request and providing relevant documentation. The business will be required to conduct Labor Market Testing in accordance with regional category specifications. Step 2 – DAMA Labor Agreement Request The employer then applies online to the Department of Home Affairs for an DAMA Labour Agreement, using the endorsement letter. This can take a number of weeks, however the employer is generally able to nominate overseas workers for endorsed occupations and positions before the DAMA labour agreement is finalised.
