Date Coverage Begins. The Town will provide enrollment forms to new employees on the first day of employment. Coverage will begin on the first day of the month following thirty days of continuous employment, provided the employee has completed the insurance application. Enrollment in a medical insurance plan is not automatic. An employee must complete the necessary enrollment forms.

Coverage will begin on the first day of the month following thirty days of continuous employment, provided the employee has completed the insurance application. Enrollment in a medical insurance plan is not automatic. An employee must complete the necessary enrollment forms. Eligible employees and dependents may also enroll in the medical insurance plan during the annual open enrollment period or at the time of a qualified change in employment or family status, as defined by the Internal Revenue Service and the insurance carrier.
