Date of Hire Defined. Effective with hire dates after July 1, 2006, the teacher’s length of professional service in the District will begin on the first calendar day of the teacher work year. This will be considered the teacher’s date of hire. For mid-year hires, the date of hire will be their first day of work as approved by the Board.
