Dates and Location. A. This Agreement shall be effective for an initial term beginning on October 1, 2014 and ending on January 4, 2015. Thereafter this Agreement will automatically renew for a second term running October 1, 2015 through January 4, 2016, and then a third term running October 1, 2016 through January 4, 2017, unless either party notifies the other party of its intent to terminate the Agreement pursuant to Section 11B. The additional term(s) shall be deemed a continuation of this Agreement and not as a new Agreement.

It will run for 15 days and will include the dates of June 28-30, July 6-7, and the weeks of July 10-14 and July 17-21. Student instructional time will be from 8:45 to 1:00. For students who are staying for the afternoon SEL and enrichment, there will be a lunch break from 1:00-1:30 pm, recess 1:30-1:45, SEL Enrichment program 1:45-3:15 pm, student pick up from 3:15-3:30 pm. Times Instruction with students will start each day at 8:45 am and end at 1:00 pm. ● Classified Hours- classified staff will start their day at 8:30 and end at 1:00. Each classified staff member will be allotted a 10 minute break. ● Certificated Hours- certificated staff will begin their planning time at 8:15 (planning time pay) and be ready for instruction at 8:45. The instructional day is considered from 8:45 to 1:15 (per diem pay). Compensation will be allocated as follows: ● Coordinator ○ The summer school coordinator will time card at $35 for meetings, website updates, agenda planning, coordination with Learning Services, and clerical work. ○ The summer school coordinator will be allotted up to 20 hours for scheduling and class placement at the per diem rate. ● Certificated ○ Teachers will time card at $35 or at their per diem rate, whichever is greater, for all instructional hours and, within this time, they will receive one 15-minute paid scheduled break. ○ One additional non-contact hour per day will be paid for planning at $35 per hour. (This is consistent with past practice) ○ Each teacher will be eligible for 2 additional hours for classroom setup and prep at the $35 per hour rate. ● Classified ○ Classified staff working only the morning instructional block will be paid at their hourly rate and will be provided one 10 minute paid break scheduled as close to the midpoint of their work period as possible per state law. ○ Classified staff working the full day (8:30 am-3:30 pm) will be provided a 30-minute lunch.
