Common use of Day Leave Clause in Contracts

Day Leave. Time off for medical or dental appointments, family or medical emergencies, storms, unexpected school closings or other personal emergencies may be granted by the Employer. Employees are expected to inform their Immediate Supervisors or Responsible Managers as soon as possible that an absence is necessary. Provided such absences are of short duration, normally part of a working day but not in excess of one (1) working day and infrequent in nature, Employees will not lose pay as a result of such absence.
