Common use of Deductions and Remittance Clause in Contracts

Deductions and Remittance. A. During the term of this Agreement, the Universities will deduct AFSCME membership dues in an amount established by AFSCME and certified in writing by the President of Council 79 to the Board for employees who have submitted an AFSCME deduction authorization form, Appendix B. The University will also make other AFSCME related deductions as instructed by employees in writing on the AFSCME deduction authorization form. Employee transfers or promotions within the bargaining unit shall not require the submission of new forms. B.
