Common use of Deficiencies Identified Through Formal Observations Clause in Contracts

Deficiencies Identified Through Formal Observations. A teacher, who has been determined to be deficient in certain respects (performance deficiencies), shall be furnished a written report setting forth the specific deficiencies that have been identified in order that there is an opportunity for the teacher to correct such deficiencies. The supervisor involved in the particular area of the teacher's work shall assist the teacher in correcting those deficiencies. The evaluator shall submit a written plan for correcting the deficiencies, which shall include ways in which the supervisor shall assist the teacher to correct the deficiencies. The plan shall include a reasonable time between observations to allow time for improvement. The evaluator has a responsibility to clearly identify and define the deficiency(ies) and to provide a specific plan for elimination of the deficiency(ies). The teacher has the responsibility to implement the plan.
