Definition of a Probationary Reappointment Decision. III.9.1.1 A decision to reappoint or not to reappoint constitutes a reappointment decision. III.9.1.2 A decision to reappoint shall be made by the Board only on the recommendation of the President, who shall first receive a recommendation from the University Librarian, following the University Librarian’s receipt of a recommendation from COAP and from the Library Personnel Committee. A decision not to reappoint shall be made by the President.   • Completion of Probationary Period An employee who has completed the probationary period may be suspended without pay or discharged only for cause. An employee who has completed the probationary period and is suspended without pay or discharged shall have access to the grievance procedure.
