JOINT COMMITTEE ON THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE AGREEMENT. (JCAA)
13.1 The Parties agree to establish a Joint Committee on the Administration of the Agreement (JCAA) as soon as practicable after the ratification of this Agreement.
13.2 The JCAA shall be composed of five (5) representatives of the University, including the Xxxxxxx and Vice-Principal (Academic) or designate, and five (5) representatives of the Association. A quorum shall be four (4) members, provided that two (2) representatives of each Party are present.
13.3 When practicable, appointments to the Committee shall be for the lifetime of this Agreement.
13.4 The JCAA shall
(a) endeavour to maintain and develop a spirit of cooperation and mutual respect;
(b) review matters arising from the administration, interpretation and operation of the Agreement and other matters of mutual concern but excluding any dispute which is currently being resolved under the grievance procedures in this Agreement;
(c) endeavour to facilitate better working relationships between the University and the Association and its Members;
(d) endeavour to xxxxxx better communications between the various components of the University community;
(e) carry out functions specifically delegated by this Agreement.
13.5 The JCAA shall seek the timely correction of conditions that may give rise to misunderstandings in the application of the Agreement. To that end, the JCAA shall act in an advisory capacity to the University and the Association concerning the need to amend or modify the Agreement. Any amendments or modifications to the Agreement shall not be effective unless approved by the University and the Association.
13.6 The JCAA shall determine its own procedures, subject to the following provisions:
(a) The JCAA shall be chaired jointly by one (1) of the representatives of the Association and one (1) of the representatives of the University who shall together be responsible for preparing and distributing the Agenda and preparing, distributing and approving Minutes of the meetings;
(b) The JCAA shall meet not later than ten (10) working days after the receipt of a request of either Party. In any event the JCAA shall meet at least twice yearly during the academic year. Each member of the JCAA shall receive notice not less than five (5) working days before the scheduled date of the meeting, and shall receive the Agenda of the meeting at least two (2) working days in advance;
(c) The Parties may, by mutual consent, expand the JCAA to create sub- committees of the JCAA on a parity basis to...
JOINT COMMITTEE ON THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE AGREEMENT. II.6.1 Recognizing the mutual benefits to be derived from joint consultation, the parties agree, within thirty (30) days of the signing of this Agreement, to establish a Joint Committee on the Administration of the Agreement, comprised of three (3) representatives of the Association and three (3) representatives of the Board.
II.6.2 The Joint Committee shall deal with problems arising from the administration of this Agreement, as far as possible, and perform the various functions assigned to it in the articles of this Agreement. The parties may agree to establish sub-committees of the Joint Committee to perform particular functions assigned by particular articles of the Agreement if they are of the opinion that this will better expedite the administration of the Agreement. Such sub-committees shall be composed of an equal number of representatives of the Association and of the Board, and shall forward all recommendations to the Association and the Board through Joint Committee.
II.6.2.1 In addition to performing the various functions assigned in this Collective Agreement to the Joint Committee, the Joint Committee shall administer this Agreement in the spirit of cooperation and mutual respect and shall seek the timely correction of conditions which may give rise to misunderstandings. To that end the Joint Committee shall act in an advisory capacity to the University and the Association concerning the need to amend or modify the Agreement. The Joint Committee shall not have the authority to amend or modify this Agreement. Any amendments or modifications to the Agreement shall not take effect until approved by the University and the Association.
II.6.3 The Joint Committee shall determine its own procedures, subject to the following provisions:
(a) The Joint Committee shall be co-chaired by one (1) representative of the Association and one (1) representative of the Board;
(b) A quorum for the Joint Committee shall be four (4) of its members, with a minimum of two (2) members representing each of the Board and the Association;
(c) The Joint Committee shall meet at least twice during each academic year, but may meet more often by mutual agreement;
(d) Either party may request a meeting to be held at a mutually convenient time within ten (10) working days of the request;
(e) The co-Chairs may meet to settle agenda for meetings; failing that, they shall exchange written agenda at least three (3) working days in advance of each meeting.
II.6.4 Special meetings of ...
JOINT COMMITTEE ON THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE AGREEMENT. 6.01 There shall be a Joint Committee on the Administration of the Agreement (JCAA). This Committee will be made up of two (2) members from each Party to this Agreement. The Committee may consider and advise the Parties on any matter relating to the interpretation or administration of this Agreement, including any tasks by mutual agreement.
6.02 The Committee will meet within ten (10) working days of the call of either Party. Prior to the meeting, the Party calling the meeting will advise the other of the proposed agenda for the meeting. The responding Party will, likewise, advise of any further agenda items.
JOINT COMMITTEE ON THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE AGREEMENT. 48.1 OC and the Association agree to establish a Joint Committee on the Administration of the Agreement (JCAA).
48.2 The JCAA shall be composed of three (3) representatives named by OC and three (3) representatives named by the Association. Other individuals may attend JCAA meetings as resource persons, at the invitation of either party.
48.3 The JCAA shall schedule meetings at least once a month during the academic year. The timing of the meetings shall be by mutual agreement. Additional meetings may be scheduled with five (5) working days written notice by either party.
48.4 The Joint Committee on the Administration of the Agreement shall:
a) review matters arising from the administration, interpretation and operation of the Agreement and other matters of mutual concern but excluding any dispute which is currently being resolved under the grievance procedures in this Agreement;
b) endeavour to facilitate better working relationships between OC and the Association and its members;
c) endeavour to xxxxxx better communications between the various components of the OC community;
d) carry out functions specifically delegated by this Agreement.
48.5 The JCAA shall not have the power to add or to modify in any way the terms of this Agreement, but shall function in an advisory capacity to the Association and/or OC and shall seek the timely correction of conditions that may give rise to misunderstandings.
JOINT COMMITTEE ON THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE AGREEMENT. Within sixty (60) days of the signing of this Agreement, parties shall establish a Joint Committee to be comprised of three (3) representatives of the Union and three (3) representatives of the University. The Joint Committee shall function in an advisory capacity to the parties, but shall not in any way interfere with the normal functioning of any agreement between the parties, or limit the rights of the parties to enter into discussions which could result in the formation of further agreements regarding terms and conditions of employment. The Joint Committee shall determine its own procedures, subject to the following provisions:
1. The Joint Committee shall be chaired jointly by a representative of the Union and a representative of the University administration, who shall together be responsible for the preparation and distribution of agenda and summary notes for meetings, and shall alternate in presiding over the meetings.
2. The Joint Committee shall meet at least once every two (2) months, but may meet more often by mutual agreement of the Chairs, and shall meet on five (5) days' notice at the call of either of the Chairs, or as otherwise agreed.
3. A quorum for the Joint Committee shall be four (4) of its members, with a minimum of two (2) members representing each of the University administration and the Union.
4. The parties may, by mutual consent, expand the Joint Committee or create subcommittees. The membership and procedures of subcommittees shall be determined by the Joint Committee, subject to the condition that at least two (2) members of each subcommittee shall be members of the Joint Committee, and that the Chair of the subcommittee must be chosen from among the members of the Joint Committee serving on the subcommittee.
JOINT COMMITTEE ON THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE AGREEMENT. 6.01 There shall be a Joint Committee for the Administration of the Agreement (JCAA). This Committee will be made up of equal numbers of representatives of the Parties including at least, the President of BUFA or his/her designate, the Grievance Officer or his/her designate, the Xxxxxxx and Vice-President, Academic or his/her designate and the Associate Vice-President, Human Resources or his/her designate. It may consider and advise the Parties on any matter relating to the interpretation or administration of this Agreement or the settlement of any dispute arising between the Parties. As well, it shall direct itself to the fulfillment of any tasks explicitly assigned by this Agreement.
6.02 The Committee will meet within ten (10) days of the call of either Party. Prior to the meeting, the Party calling the meeting will advise the other of the proposed agenda for the meeting. The responding Party will, likewise, advise of any further agenda items.

9.1 The Parties agree to establish a Joint Committee on the Administration of this Agreement (JCAA) within thirty (30) days of the signing of the ratification of this Collective Agreement composed of three (3) representatives of the Employer and two (2) alternates, and three
9.2 The JCAA will review matters of concern arising from the administration of this Agreement excluding any dispute that is the subject of an appeal or grievance under any other provision of this Agreement or that has been submitted to arbitration under this Agreement.
9.3 The JCAA will xxxxxx good communication between the parties, serve as a forum for the exchange of information, and ensure that this Agreement is administered in a spirit of cooperation and mutual respect.
9.4 The JCAA will not have the power to add or modify in any way the terms of this Collective Agreement. The JCAA will function in an advisory capacity to the Association and the University and will seek the timely correction of conditions which may give rise to misunderstandings.
9.5 The JCAA will determine its own procedures subject to the following provisions:
(a) The Committee will be co-chaired by one (1) representative of the Association and one (1) representative of the University who will together be responsible for preparing and distributing the agenda and distributing the minutes of the previous meeting.
(b) The Committee will meet as necessary. Either co-Chair may call a meeting on seven (7) days written notice to the other members of the Committee. Written agendas and minutes will be circulated to all members of the Committee at least forty-eight (48) hours in advance of each meeting.
(c) A quorum for the Committee meetings will be four (4) members, provided that at least two (2) representatives of each party are present, including the co-Chairs or their designates.
(d) Recommendations of the JCAA will be by unanimous agreement of both parties and will be written down and signed by the co-Chairs at the end of the meeting.
9.6 In the event that any dispute over the interpretation of the Collective Agreement cannot be resolved by the JCAA, either party may give intent to proceed to mediation beginning with Article 20.7(b)(ii). If no settlement is reached within five (5) days of the Mediation Conference, either party may submit the dispute to arbitration as per Article 20.7(c).
