DEFINITION OF PROBATIONARY STATUS AND REGULAR STATUS. Probationary Status: New salaried classified employees, with the exception of Peace Officers, shall serve a probationary period of six (6) months. Peace Officers are required to serve a probationary period of one (1) year. Employees in this status shall be considered probationary. Regular Status: Upon completion of the designated probationary period by a member of the classified staff, such person is designated as a regular employee.
