Definition of Sexual Harassment. Sexual harassment shall be defined as any sexually oriented practice that undermines an employee's health, self-esteem, job performance or workplace relationships or endangers an employee's employment status or potential. Sexual harassment may include, but not be limited to: - unwanted touching or patting - suggestive remarks or verbal abuse - suggestive gestures or staring - compromising invitations - requests or demands for sexual favours - physical assault - derogatory or degrading remarks directed towards members of one gender or one sexual preference group Note: Normal workplace banter may not necessarily be construed as sexual harassment.
