Definitions and Provisions. 1. A grievance is a claim that there has been a violation or misapplication of any provision of this agreement. 2. A grievant is a member of the bargaining unit or the Association alleging there has been a violation or misapplication of a specific provision of the agreement. The Association may be present at the adjustment of any grievance at any level for the purpose of ensuring that the adjustment is not inconsistent with the terms of this agreement. 3. A day shall mean work days during the regular school year. During the summer months, "days" mean calendar days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays.
