Demotion Within SHARE. Caregiver’s who voluntarily transfer down will have their rate reduced by 5% per grade up to 15% (for three pay grades). If management determines that the new rate following a voluntary transfer would create internal inequity, it may increase the promoted caregiver’s rate. A demotion cannot result in a pay rate being below the minimum of the new pay range. If the caregiver is demoted more than three pay grades, then SHARE and management will problem-solve.
