DEPARTMENTAL ACCOUNTING OFFICER’S RESPONSIBILITIES. 3.1. The Permanent Secretary, as Accounting Officer for DCMS, is accountable to Parliament for the issue of any grant-in-aid to Sport England and is also responsible for ensuring arrangements are in place to:  monitor Sport England’s activities on a continuous basis;  address significant problems in Sport England, making such interventions as are judged necessary;  periodically carry out an assessment of the risks both to the department and Sport England objectives and activities;  inform Sport England of relevant government policy in a timely manner; and,  bring concerns about the activities of the body to the full Sport England Board; requiring explanations and assurances that appropriate action has been taken.

DEPARTMENTAL ACCOUNTING OFFICER’S RESPONSIBILITIES. 3.1 The Permanent Secretary, as Accounting Officer for DCMS, is accountable to Parliament for the issue of any grant-­‐in-­‐aid to the BFI and is also responsible for ensuring arrangements are in place to: • appoint the CE of BFI as Accounting Officer; • monitor the BFI’s activities on a continuous basis; • address significant problems in the BFI, making such interventions as are judged necessary; • ensure the financial and other management controls applied by the Department to the BFI are appropriate and sufficient to safeguard public funds and for ensuring the BFI’s compliance with those controls (“public funds” include not only any funds granted to the BFI by Parliament but also any other public funds within the stewardship of the BFI); • periodically carry out an assessment of the risks both to the department and BFI objectives and activities; • inform the BFI of relevant government policy in a timely manner; and, • bring concerns about the activities of the body to the full BFI Board; requiring explanations and assurances that appropriate action has been taken.

  • Administrative Responsibilities With respect to each Trust Fund, the Administrator (on behalf of the Trustee) shall hold and administer, or supervise the administration of, the REMIC Pools and MACR Pools in a manner consistent with and to the extent required by standards of prudence and in substantially the same manner as the Administrator holds and administers assets of the same or similar type held for its own account. In performing its responsibilities hereunder, the Administrator may employ independent contractors or agents. Except as provided in Articles VI, VII and VIII and Sections 9.05 and 9.06 of this Agreement, the Administrator shall not be subject to the control of Holders in any manner whatsoever in the discharge of its responsibilities pursuant to this Agreement. Except with regard to its indemnities under Sections 2.05 and 9.01, the Administrator shall have no liability to any Holder other than for any direct damage resulting from the Administrator’s failure to exercise that degree of ordinary care which it exercises in the conduct and management of its own affairs. In no event shall the Administrator have any liability of any nature for consequential damages. Nothing in this Section shall relieve Xxxxxxx Mac, in its capacity as Guarantor, of its guarantee obligation pursuant to Section 4.06.

The Custodian agrees to submit reports to the IRS and the IRA Owner (or Beneficiary(ies) upon the IRA Owner’s death) as prescribed by the IRS and such additional reports as the Custodian may choose to deliver. The Custodian shall furnish annual calendar-year reports concerning the status of the IRA and such information concerning required minimum distributions as is prescribed by the Commissioner of the IRS.
