Deposits Into Your Account. You may make deposits into your Account using any of these methods described below. We do not charge you any fees for making deposits.
Deposits Into Your Account. 3.1. We will only accept personal cheques or bank transfers from a UK bank account held in your name. If it is a joint Account (joint accounts can only be opened through our online application on the website and not through our mobile app), then at least one of you must be named on that account. Personal cheques should be made payable to OakNorth Bank plc and include your full name and OakNorth Account number on the reverse. For bank transfers, the payment must come from the nominated bank account (as specified in your application) which must be in your name (or that of the other joint Account holder). Banker’s drafts are also accepted but must be made payable to OakNorth Bank plc and your bank must type your full name (or that of the other joint Account holder), nominated bank account number and nominated bank account sort code (as specified in your application) on the front of the banker’s draft to open the OakNorth Account.
3.2. Deposits funded by online transfer will be credited to your Account, and interest will begin accruing on the end of day balance (for Fixed Term Deposits) and the minimum daily balance (for Easy Access and Notice Accounts) no later than one business day from when we receive your funds. or bankers draft. You cannot make cash deposits at out-of-network ATMs. You understand and agree that to initiate deposits via direct payments/ACH debit, you must comply with the ACH Origination Service security procedures described below. ▪ Cash: We do not accept cash deposits made by mail. If you mail us a cash deposit, we will send the cash back to you. ▪ Paper Checks: If you mail a paper check to us, including personal or business checks, money orders or cashier’s checks, we may apply the check to any negative balance you have on your Account or send the check back to you. ▪ Foreign Currency: We do not accept any deposits in foreign currency. 2.2. Deposits funded by online transfer will be credited to your account, and interest will begin accruing on the business day on which we receive your funds.
2.3. Deposits funded by cheque will normally be credited to your account not more than 2 business days after the business day we receive your cheque and interest will begin accruing on the business day we credit your account.
Deposits Into Your Account. Customers may deposit money into their Account by Electronic Funds Transfer, Interac e-Transfer® or, if offered by us at the applicable time, Mobile Cheque Deposit, each as more particularly described below, or in any other manner offered by us at the time of deposit. Customers may also receive deposits that are initiated by third parties to their Account through direct deposit. All deposits are subject to verification of the source of funds and to our policies on the acceptance of deposits. We may change those policies from time to time without notice to you. We may refuse to accept any deposit to your Account in our sole discretion. Electronic Transactions that are deposited to your Accounts after 6:00pm EST/EDT may be processed the following day. We will not accept the following methods for deposit: ● Xxxx, bank drafts, or paper cheques in the mail ● Traveller’s cheques ● Cheques payable in U.S. dollars or other foreign currencies ● Wire transfer deposits
