Common use of Design Development Stage Clause in Contracts

Design Development Stage. 5.9.3.1 Based on the approved Schematic Design documents and any adjustments to the Program of Requirements, BIM Execution Plan or Amount Available for the Construction Contract authorized by the Owner, the Contractor shall prepare Design Development documents derived from the model(s) in accordance with Owner’s written requirements to further define and finalize the size and character of the Project in accordance with the BIM Execution Plan and “Facility Design Guidelines” and prepare a detailed Estimated Construction Costs and submit them to the Owner for approval. The Design Development Documents shall fix and describe the size and character of the entire Project, including site work, architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical systems, materials and such other elements as may be appropriate. The detailed Estimated Construction Costs shall confirm adherence to the Amount Available for the Construction Contract.
