Detached Service Sample Clauses

Detached Service. The Board may grant detached service leave for a period of one year for an employee to work in an educational institution, with an official government agency or in such programs as the Peace Corps and the Overseas Exchange Teacher Program. The employee may request an extension of the original leave for up to one additional school year. Before an employee is granted detached service leave, s/he must present evidence of an offer of employment from one of the accepting agencies. Application for detached service leave for the next school year must be made by April 15.

  • Tandem Switched Transport 7.3.4.2.1 For traffic delivered through a Qwest or CLEC tandem Switch (as defined in the Agreement), the Parties agree that, because this State is a new market for CLEC, tandem switched transport functions for Exchange Service (EAS/Local) non-transit traffic shall be compensated based upon the xxxx and keep compensation mechanism.   • Supervisory or Military Service It is understood service with the Armed Forces of Canada in time of war or compulsory military service, or service with the Employer as a supervisory employee does not constitute a break in the continuous service and shall not affect an employee's seniority rights.
