Common use of Devotion to Employer’s Business Clause in Contracts

Devotion to Employer’s Business. Employee shall devote his full business time, ability, and attention to the business of Employer during the term of this Agreement and shall not during the term of this Agreement, without the prior written consent of Employer’s Board of Directors, engage in any other business activities, duties, or pursuits whatsoever, or directly or indirectly render any services of a business, commercial, or professional nature to any other person or organization, whether for compensation or otherwise, which would interfere or conflict with discharging Employee’s duties. The expenditure of reasonable amounts of time for educational, charitable, or professional activities shall not, however, be deemed a breach of this Agreement if those activities do not interfere with the services required of Employee under this Agreement.
