Common use of Director of Public Safety Clause in Contracts

Director of Public Safety. If the grievant is not satisfied with the resolution at Step 2, he may appeal to the Director of Public Safety or designate, in writing, within one (1) week after receipt of the Step 2 answer. The Director of Public Safety or designate shall hold a meeting with the grievant within one (1) week after receipt of the grievance and shall answer the grievance in writing within one (1) week of such meeting.

The grievance and written response shall be submitted with the appeal. The Director of Public Safety or designate designee shall hold a meeting with the grievant within one seven (17) week calendar days after receipt of the grievance and shall answer the grievance in writing within one seven (17) week calendar days of such meeting, with a copy to the grievant/Union. The grievant shall be entitled to Union representation at said meeting.
