DISCHARGE AND DISCIPLINARY ACTION. 9.01 A full time seniority employee may be required to present his/her explanation of the problem and may be disciplined or discharged on his/her day off only where the allegations are of a serious nature such as theft, fighting, harassment or gross insubordination. 9.02 A claim by an employee that he or she has been discharged or suspended without just cause shall be proper subject for a grievance if a written statement of such grievance is lodged at Step 2 of the grievance procedure within fifteen (15) calendar days after the employee receives notice that he or she has been discharged or suspended as the case may be. The Employer shall notify the Union’s President of the discharge of a full time seniority employee within three days of the discharge.
