Common use of Discharges and Suspensions Clause in Contracts

Discharges and Suspensions. If an employee who has acquired seniority believes that he has been discharged or suspended without just cause, the grievance shall be presented at Step 2 within seven (7) days after notice has been given to the employee and the Xxxxxxx. If a suspension is grieved, the Company may elect not to put the suspension into effect until the grievance is settled, abandoned, or determined by reference to arbitration.
