Common use of Discontinuation Clause in Contracts

Discontinuation. Either the Hospital and or the Union may discontinue the job sharing arrangement with ninety (90) days' written notice. Upon receipt of such notice a meeting shall be held between the parties within fifteen (15) days to discuss the discontinuation.

It is understood and agreed that such discontinuation shall not be unreasonable or arbitrary. If the decision to discontinue the Job Sharing arrangement is upheld, then the full-time position shall be offered to the original owner of the full-time position, if any, prior to it being posted as a full-time position as per Article 10.
